Devotional - Trust.

“Stop trusting in man, who has breath in his nostrils. Of what account is he?” (Isaiah 2:22)

Trust is defined as “an assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or something, one in which confidence is placed and dependence on something future, hope.”

This is what we have in our relationship with Jesus Christ! Based on His character, ability, strength and truth we can place our confidence and our eternal hope in His nailed scared hands. “When I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?” (Psalm 56:3-4)

Everyone experiences fear, especially when we trust the things of this world and they let us down. But if trust God in our death, why would we not trust Him equally so with our day-to-day lives? “Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; you will cry for help, and He will say: Here Am I.” (Isaiah 58:9)

What a comfort, He hears us; He responds…God loves you! Let us all trust Him all the more every single day and in every single way.
